What is the Sunnah?
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the central figure of the religion Islam. Every habit of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is generally termed his Sunnah.
Why do Muslims follow Sunnah?
Muslims believe Quran is the book of ultimate knowledge. They follow everything which is written in QURAN without any doubt. They think it's a book of top guidance for humans sent by their God(ALLAH). Quran has a complete code of life.
According to QURAN, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last messenger of ALLAH (AL Quran 33:40).
In Quran, ALLAH orders every human being to follow the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Why is it necessary to follow the Sunnah?
When everything is explained in QURAN, it is a solid question: why is it necessary to follow the Sunnah?
Well, if we analyze all the subjects that are being taught around the globe nowadays. All the information regarding every topic is available to every student. But still, no one can study on their own. Everyone needs a teacher who can practically guide the students.
To achieve something, you always need some live example to set your motivation.
ALLAH created all of us; HE knows our psychology better than anyone else.
HE knew that we would not be able to follow his instructions if HE did not provide us with a demonstrator.
Allah mentioned in the Quran that he(Prophet (PBUH)) is a human just like you. If he can follow my instructions so precisely, then why can't you?
How To find authentic Sunnah?
It is an uphill battle for all Non-Muslims to find the origional volume of their respective religious scriptures.
Islam is the only religion whose religious scripture is preserved in its original form as it was compiled over 1400 years ago.
So, there are seven books of hadith, which consist of all the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Everyone can easily find solutions to every matter from the books of hadith.
